GT8 will hold its winter Court of Honor on Monday, February 23. All scouts hoping to complete advancement to the next rank prior to the Court of Honor should discuss with Scoutmaster Tucker at the meeting on February 2 to ensure that there is a pathway to completing advancement in time.

The fitness test for the Tenderfoot requirement will be held on Saturday, February 28 at 9:30 AM at Silver Creek Middle School in Kensington.

The fitness test is a Tenderfoot requirement which requires a baseline test of push-ups, sit-ups, flexibility and a mile run and a retest after 30 days after planning a month-long fitness improvement plan and executing the plan.

Because of the expected cold and snow, GT8 will attend the Klondike Derby only on Saturday, 1/24. Attending scouts should meet at the Kensington Baptist Church (10100 Connecticut Ave, Kensington, MD 20895) at 6:30AM.
