GT8 will be hosting a Court of Honor on March 27th from 7:30pm at Silver Creek Middle School to recognize advancement and the award of merit badges. All parents and Scouts are encouraged to attend.

Sea Base participants be on the lookout for an email from Judy Beach-Uhlman with the final amount due.

Scouts and parents, please review the Henson Merit Badge schedule attached. First year campers 13 and under who have not completed the requirements for the Tenderfoot rank will participate in the Brownsea program. Scouts not participating in the Brownsea program will select merit badges from the program schedule. Please complete the Merit Badge Selection Form attached by March 27th. This month, Scouts will have a chance to learn about horsemanship, horse riding, and farm life camping overnight at a family run working farm in Maryland. The fee for the outing is $100. Please see the calendar event for all the details including the waiver form.

GT8 will be going to Bechtel Reserve at the Paul R. Christen National High Adventure Base in the wilds of West Virginia, about 320 miles from us. This is a seven-day/six-night program. It consists of half-day introductory level experiences at each of the nine Summit high adventure venues. If you are interested in participating, please see ASM Iqbal Hamza or SM O'Donnell on Monday.

GT8 will embark for the Eastern Shore of DelMarVa this summer for a fantastic camp experience at Henson Scout Reservation. Camp Henson is located along the beautiful banks of the Nanticoke River and attending is a great way for Scouts to complete rank advancements, merit badges and have fun outdoors. Among the many highlights are water sports, outdoor skills, archery and handicrafts merit badges and rank advancement activities. Please see the calendar event for all the details and to sign up. A $75 deposit is due by January 27th.
